Top Scholars Confirm Truth of Christianity

This is a great article I’ve just finished reading titled Top Scholars Confirm the Truth of Christianity. The gentleman interviewed, Ted Baehr, is an acquaintance of my mentor, Darrow Miller.

Ted is an inspiration for many reasons as he is a great mind who works in the realm of culture and media.  He founded the nonprofit Christian Film & Television Commission ministry in 1985.  “[It] and its publication, ‘MOVIEGUIDE: A Family Guide to Movies, Entertainment and Culture,’ are dedicated to ‘redeeming the values of the entertainment industry by influencing industry executives and by informing and equipping the public about the influence of the entertainment media'” (see article).

As far as the article goes, I just love the way he very succinctly and matter-of-factly says that uncertainty about the biblical account of Jesus Christ is just foolishness.

“‘Top scholars, historians and experts have confirmed that the Bible is the most historically and intellectually reliable ancient text in the whole world, including the Bible’s account of the life and teachings of Jesus Christ . . . Not only can you have complete faith in the New Testament documents and what they say about the virgin birth, divinity, Crucifixion, Resurrection, and teachings of Jesus Christ,’ Baehr said, ‘but you can also rely on what they say about non-Christian places, people, and events, such as the names and titles of Roman government officials.'”

This is great!  Thanks Ted!  Please read his article!

I am glad that some top scholars, historians and experts have confirmed that the Bible is the most historically and intellectually reliable ancient text in the whole world. Demons have also concluded this same thing.

But I have a question for you. What are your thoughts about my blog entry about Yeshua HaMashiach?

      Hi Denny,

Amen – that many (even unbelievers) can recognize the historical reliability of the Scriptures and God’s existence. I’ve talked with some people, nevertheless, who refuse to look at the facts and statistics on this and therefore miss its power. I was excited to share this article.

I’m not sure what to say about your particular blog entry – you mention many things in it. If you have a specific question, you can let me know. I like the Bible verses that you’ve referenced in your comment. God’s love for people is truly passionate and He pursues us and calls us to join His mission of loving others and protecting life, while calling them to join us and experience an abundant and eternal life with Him. As you point out, a life without him has no eternal hope.

I can’t say that I’m altogether surprised that the vast majority of Great Britain does not view the Bible to be historically accurate. Modern academia has done its level best to destroy and debunk Christianity’s claim as an authoritative source of history. The sooner “scholars” can devalue Christian text to the degree of ancient socio-political activists, is the day the Beelzebub runs free. If you haven’t already heard of the Intercollegiate Studies Institute, they are doing a great work trying to restore America’s Judeo-Christian heritage and teaching college students the tenants of a truly “liberal education”. They did a series of debates entitled, “Is Christianity the Problem” with Dinesh D’Souza and Christopher Hitchens, that I believe you will find most interesting.
