Memo to Planned Parenthood: A Baby is Human, Not Hamburger

Kass reflection applies to Planned Parenthood“… if we come to see ourselves as meat, then meat we shall become.”

So wrote Dr. Leon Kass in his book, Toward a More Natural Science.

So are we hamburger or human? It depends on your worldview!

When we deny the existence of God, like modern secular society has done, then man—the image of God—is correctly reduced to “meat.” This is exactly how Planned Parenthood treats unborn babies.

In the last few weeks, the Center for Medical Progress (CMP) has released five undercover videos exposing Planned Parenthood malfeasance. These videos, almost surreal in character, show Planned Parenthood doctors and executives casually discussing the “harvesting” and selling of body parts from preborn babies for profit.

Human capital project exposed Planned ParenthoodIf you have not yet seen these videos, I encourage you to take a few minutes to go to the Human Capital Project and have a look. These folks are shining a bright light in a very dark place.

Major news outlets have failed to cover this story as they are basically cut from the same “cultural cloth” as the abortion industry and do not want the public to know what is going on. Planned Parenthood appealed to the major media outlets to squash the story, so instead they have focused on an American dentist killing a lion in Zimbabwe known affectionately as Cecil. Some are even calling for this dentist to be tried and imprisoned for killing the lion.

Yes, animals should be treated humanely. In fact, both lions and human babies are creatures formed by God. As such, they are to be treated with reverence. Yet how ironic, or should I say demonic, that the media would bury a story on the murder and dismemberment of millions of preborn human beings, a story vividly exposed by CMP, and focus instead on a big-game hunt.

Cecil the lion distracted the public from Planned Parenthood evilsBut if human beings are merely meat, why not kill unborn babies? Certainly there is no reason not to kill a lion. Yet the national mantra today is Kill a baby, save a lion.

Similarly, in recent months, the US media has focused on the killing of blacks by white police officers (Ferguson, MO and Baltimore, MA), or by a young white racist (Charleston, SC) while at the same time ignoring the black-on-black violence on inner city streets all over the country.

Planned Parenthood the greatest perpetrator of death of blacks in the US

Where is the media exposing Planned Parenthood as the greatest perpetrator of the death of blacks in the United States? In New York City more black babies are aborted each year than are born alive, 31,328 vs. 24,758.[1] That means that over 42% of abortions in New York City murder black babies.

Where is the horror and outrage over the killing of all these black children? (To read more on this question see Why do we abort more black babies than white? … Race Selective Abortion in America.)

A well-known sociological maxim says before you change a culture, you must first change the language. Whoever controls the language controls the nation.

Let’s acknowledge the truth: an abortion industry operates in the world for the purpose of killing babies.

What is more, those who have supported this abortion industry have learned to manipulate language to keep whole populations ignorant of what they are doing in the dark.

CMP had the courage to shine a light on the dark world of this industry. A growing number of people are becoming aware and are beginning to say, This is wrong! This is immoral! Some are calling it what it really is–evil.

In China, they make face cream from aborted babies. In the USA, babies’ body parts are sold for profit for research purpose. This is both immoral and illegal.

We pretend to be so civilized but we are really barbarians. “Beautiful” people—business owners, doctors and lawyers—have developed an industry that treats babies as so much meat.

OB/GYN Dr. Jen Gunter shows how language is manipulated to hide the truth of what is happening inside Planned Parenthood clinics. In her New Republic Magazine essay defending Planned Parenthood Dr. Gunter writes,

These are not “baby parts.” Whether a woman has a miscarriage or an abortion, the tissue specimen is called “products of conception.” In utero, i.e. during pregnancy, we use the term “embryo” from fertilization to ten weeks gestation and “fetus” from ten weeks to birth. The term baby is medically incorrect as it doesn’t apply until birth. Calling the tissue “baby parts” is a calculated attempt to anthropomorphize an embryo or fetus. It is a false image—a ten to twelve week fetus looks nothing like a term baby—and is medically incorrect.

From an atheistic, materialistic framework such language is appropriate and consistent. A child in utero is not a baby, it is tissue, a product of conception, in short, no more than hamburger. To read Gunter’s entire piece, in which she defends the indefensible, go here.

Molly Oshatz exposed Planned ParenthoodMother, history professor, and author, Molly Oshatz, writing in First Things, shows the power of a name.

It’s amazing the difference a name makes. On one day this past week, nearly a hundred endangered elephants were killed and around 3,000 abortions were performed in the United States alone, and we were unfazed—but the killing of Cecil the lion broke our hearts. He wasn’t just any random lion. He was Cecil. Mere lions (along with chickens, cows, lambs, and pigs) are killed, but Cecil was murdered. We love the lion that was named Cecil. We feel as though we knew him.

The abortion industry knows very well the difference a name can make.

Planned Parenthood founder, Margaret Sanger, fought to reduce minority births

Josef Mengele and his fellow Nazi doctors did barbaric experiments on human beings. They knew the power of language, and use sanitized, medical language to describe and justify their “research.”

The founder of Planned Parenthood, Margaret Sanger, was a model for the German eugenics movement developed by Hitler. Her organization was originally titled the American Birth Control League. The purpose of the league was to reduce the birth rate of the “unfit” – minorities and the “imbecile” and increase the rate of birth of the “fit” – healthy, white people. She wrote,

Herein lies the unbalance, the great biological menace to the future of civilization. Are we heading to biological destruction, towards the gradual but certain attack upon the stocks of intelligence and racial health by the sinister forces of the hordes of irresponsibility and imbecility?

During WW II, when the Nazis gave eugenics and birth manipulation a bad name, Sanger “rebranded.” She cleverly changed the name of her organization to Planned Parenthood. The name was changed to hide the reality of what the organization does.

Thank goodness that CMP is pulling back the curtain on the present evil in the abortion industry.

Orwell wrote, “We have now sunk to a depth at which restatement of the obvious is the first duty of intelligent men.” Here’s the obvious: babies are human and not hamburger.

Please share this post with your friends and family. Or link to some of the references herein. We need to join the growing movement to call babies in utero, babies.
