Mrs. Martin Luther, economic genius? Who knew?

In some circles, it’s popular to attribute the economic might of the West to colonialism. “The USA got wealthy by exploiting poor Latin American economies,” is one version of this notion.

This idea undergirds the current and growing popularity of socialism. But it’s a false narrative, a myth that Michael Novak effectively demolishes in his powerful book, The Spirit of Democratic Capitalism.

Novak traces the parallel development of democratic capitalism and philosophical Calvinism. That link is not well known, but Vishal Mangalwadi explains another dimension of it in a recent video message.

We have posted material from Vishal in the past. A DNA friend pointed us to this video recently, and we are passing it along for your viewing edification. Enjoy.
