Soros: Mind the Man Behind the Curtain

George Soros, Chairman of Open Society Foundations

In recent years, African and Middle East migrants have flooded into Europe. Today, caravans from Central America are marching toward the US. What do these phenomena have in common? People are fleeing from poverty, violence, and political persecution, looking for opportunity, rule of law, and security. In their circumstances, I would probably do the same.

Soros is behind the caravan marchesThese commonalities between today’s European and North American migration streams are in public view. But they share another common factor. One individual is lurking behind the scenes.

This person, with his billions of dollars and multiple foundations, has been on my radar for years. Now, his role has come into sharper focus, as the highly organized migrant caravans from Honduras and Guatemala march through Mexico.

Early on, I assumed these undocumented immigrants were simply fleeing their countries as individuals for the afore-mentioned reasons. But these caravans appear well-organized and well-funded. So who is organizing? Who is funding?

Who is organizing?

People WIthout Borders a Soros foundationFor 15 years, Pueblo Sin Fronteras (People Without Borders) has been supporting and organizing caravans of people seeking to enter the US illegally.

In March 2018, PSF posted at Facebook several demands of their home governments.

We demand …

– an end to political corruption

– an end to violence against women and the LGBTQIA community

– an end to failures of justice for victims of domestic violence, extortion, threats, and homophobia

– an end to corruption between gangs, the police, and governments

– an end to murder with impunity and gang recruitment of youth

Their grievances are generally reasonable. Nations functioning by the rule of law would accede to such expectations.

They also have demands of Mexico and the United States.

That they respect our rights as refugees and our right to dignified work to be able to support our families

– That they open the borders to us because we are as much citizens as the people of the countries where we are and/or travel

The first demand is rSoros wants to eliminate borderseasonable but unrealistic. Yes, these immigrants should be treated with dignity as imago Dei humans. But to expect entry to a nation without submitting to its legal process is unrealistic and unjust.

The second demand reveals a very different principle: freedom to move between nations without restriction, a call to dissolve borders, and thus dissolve nations. But a nation without borders is no nation.

Who is funding?

The enormous expenses incurred by these massive migration efforts are being paid, largely, by the Open Society Foundation, whose mission is “to build vibrant and tolerant democracies whose governments are accountable and open to the participation of all people.”

Government accountability is good. But “open to the participation of all people” means replacing sovereign nations with a borderless world where all people are citizens.

Open Society Foundations is chaired by SorosThe individual behind the Open Society Foundation is multibillionaire George Soros, who, since 1979 “has given over $32 billion to fund the Open Society Foundations, which work in over 100 countries.”

Robert McCain exposed Soros’s influence in “Is It ‘Hate Speech’ to Tell the Truth?” His article is worthy of excerpting at some length.

George Soros has been a major funder of much of the institutional infrastructure the Left has built during the past 20 years. David Horowitz … says that “a strong case can be made for the claim that Soros today affects American politics and culture more profoundly than any other living person.” Such organizations as Media Matters for America are beneficiaries of Soros’s vast wealth. … between 2003 and 2011 … Soros spent more than $48 million to fund media properties. Given his enormous influence on the Left, it is understandable that conservatives suspect that Soros is behind every allegedly “grassroots” left-wing activist group. … the Black Lives Movement received more than $30 million … so-called “Antifa” groups, implicated in riots in Berkeley and elsewhere, got money from Soros-funded foundations. … Soros has spent many millions in support of an open-borders immigration agenda.

“Soros’s agenda is fundamentally about the destruction of national borders,” researchers David Galland and Stephen McBride wrote in a 2016 article titled “How George Soros Singlehandedly Created The European Refugee Crisis — And Why.” Galland and McBride documented the involvement of Soros’s Open Society Foundation in the crisis that flooded Europe with millions of Muslim migrants. When Hungary’s prime minister Viktor Orban took action to halt the influx of “refugees” into his country and named Soros as the sponsor of this invasion, Soros responded: “[Orban’s] plan treats the protection of national borders as the objective and the refugees as an obstacle. Our plan treats the protection of refugees as the objective and national borders as the obstacle.”

This was a startling admission, and it is clear that Soros also views America’s borders as an “obstacle” to his plans. … a massive 2006 pro-amnesty rally in Los Angeles involved no fewer than eight groups funded by Soros, including the Mexican American Legal Defense and Education Fund (MALDEF) and the National Council of La Raza. As for the current migrant caravan from Honduras, it is being supported by the so-called “CARA Family Detention Pro Bono Project,” a coalition of four organizations, three of which receive funding from … George Soros. [emphasis added]

Stefan Kanfer also contributes clarity in “Connoisseur of Chaos: The dystopian vision of George Soros, billionaire funder of the Left.”

Soros’s global reach and influence far outstrip those of the Koch brothers or other liberal bogeymen—and … underlying it all is a vision both dystopian and opportunistic. “The main obstacle to a stable and just world order,” Soros has declared, “is the United States.” Ergo, that constitutional republic must be weakened and its allies degraded. The Sorosian world order—one of open borders and global governance, antithetical to the ideals and experience of the West—could then assume command.

Soros wants a secular caliphate

Soros’s billions are at the beck and call of postmodern activist groups that seek to deconstruct Western civilization and invite anarchy leading to a globalist order, the tyranny of a secular-version Islamic caliphate or Maoist Cultural Revolution.

Soros wants open societies free of traditional national and religious identities. Kanfer continues.

Soros has caused tsunamis of upheaval, in the United States and around the world.

Perhaps the most notorious of the disclosures concerned Soros’s Open Society Foundations, named in honor of Sir Karl Popper. Underneath its lofty rhetoric, the organization was clearly devoted to the eradication of national sovereignty. A key Open Society paper, hacked in its entirety, described the Syrian refugee crisis as an opportunity to “shape conversations about rethinking migrations governance.” Translation: use agitprop to flood Europe and the U.S. with evacuees (among them some probable terrorists); make the old borders and institutions irrelevant; and, in the process, create a world liberated from the restraints of constitutionalism, American exceptionalism, free-market capitalism, and other obsolete isms.

As immigrants flood Europe, and marchers threaten the US border, what’s the underlying reality? Millions are fleeing oppressive countries for nations of freedom and opportunity; one man is using these migrants to deconstruct Western civilization. He would eradicate sovereign nations to frame a one-world, secular caliphate.
