A project years in the making, Wisdom: The Way to  Human Flourishing, is set to release Feb 15.

Too few Christians have made the connection between Proverbs and development. As a result, they often operate from non-biblical principles, policies and programs.

But there is a clear, Biblical link between virtues and flourishing. The opposite is also true: vice and suffering go together.  Wisdom leads to flourishing, but folly results in poverty.

Proverbs shows us how to live in the world God has made. Objective reality comes from God. To fight against reality and its truth is to fight against God. We see this happening every day in the lives of individuals and the practices of rulers of nations.

As Dr. Craig Bartholomew writes in the introduction to the Wisdom books in the 2011 edition of the NIV Bible, “Wisdom is concerned with discerning the order built into the creation by the Lord.”
